Ages since I attended a wedding and with tons of cousins (particularly females) in the family there is practically one every year. And despite visiting home almost every year, I still manage to miss them. What can say-a combination of bad luck and bad timing.
But this year I am hoping to get lucky. A cousin is getting hitched in September and I just might be able to attend. But whether I make it or not I have started day dreaming and shopping for the wedding. Dressing up is definitely one of the fun aspects of any traditional Indian wedding and so I am thinking Kanchivaram sari matched with traditional Amrapali jewellery...mmm..something on these lines.

If I am giving away the impression of being a fashionista obsessed over clothes and dressing up then nothing can be far from the truth. I am the quintessential fabindia-kurta-jeans clad wannabe fashionista in real life.I would say this is probably my first post discussing clothes and jewellery and it probably looks out of place here. But, come on now humor me :)
Now how hard can it be to post a picture a day!?! *sigh*.No good excuse to fall back on and so slightly embarrassed here is a glimpse of what I did over the weekend.
I learnt to make momos at a friend's house, shared a couple of pictures instantly with someone over whats app and re-lived some sweet memories of snow capped mountains, hot momos and a darling companion from a while ago.
As for the momos- steaming hot with the special tomato sauce to pour over and a bit of chilly sauce on the side was mouth-wateringly delicious!
So welcome back to me I guess. Been away for a bit. I have been working my destiny to the hilt-that of a struggling grad student with multiple deadlines and trying to live a life somewhere in between. Blogging naturally took a backseat in the list of things-to-do although it did not keep me from visiting some of my favorite blogs.
Today, after my usual, everyday ritual/routine of blog hopping, I started my work when quite unexpectedly the mind wandered to my blog wondering what was happening to it..how many visitors, stalkers, friends and lovelies had stopped by. And so I logged in and checked. Well, going by the numbers....hmmm...lets just say if my blog was a tv show it would not have lasted an episode let alone a full season. Yep, self deprecation was never an issue for me.
Anyways since I take my blog a bit too personally (but not seriously) I do not wish to see it simply die and fade away into the blogger blackhole. So here is the plan to keep it kicking and going and hopefully less boring. Post a picture (everyday if possible) that held some sort of significance to me that particular day which basically translates to endless possibilities, unless of course inspiration strikes and I want to ramble on about something.
