Relief is what I feel. It is done- the written exam, the orals and all the crazy stress. Now my status is "ABD", which is a grad school lingo that stands for Anything But Dissertation, which technically means I am not a PhD student anymore but- advanced to candidacy.
Now for the proposal defense, the field work, the data collection, the analysis, the hypothesis testing, the interpretations, the writing, the presenting and defending all that you did. Yikes!
May the force be with me(I would have settled for Capt. Hans Solo but obviously God has other plans for me).

traveling like mad e2dees, as if the world is going to end tomorrow. Going godavari boat ride in to the forests and the tribals and all. Pushkar mela was just fabulous, where else i went, oh i forgot. yea hyderabad, banjaras lombardis and all, their villages, banjaras are a dying tribe sadly. they will disappear in another 30 years How are you e2dees ? Going Theyyam in january, tomorrow going karnataka, Hassan and surrounding villages Belur Halebid with friends. hope you are fine.
Lovely to hear abt your travels Rauf. All sounds super exciting to me. Enjoy. I had plans to catch some theyyam in Jan with a friend..not going to happen now. I am doing fine. I was hoping to see some Pushkar pics in your blog but you don't seem to be posting these days.
